Cafés in Kullu and Bhuntar — eggless bakeries, Italian and coffee on the highway
Where Kullu's cafés are
Kullu does not have a café lane the way Old Manali does. Its cafés are spread along the highway that runs up the valley from Bhuntar, past Shamshi and Shastri Nagar, into Kullu town and out again on the bypass towards Manali. The bakeries and sweet shops are in the old bazaar. Most are vegetarian, and two of the bakeries bake without eggs, which matters to many families in the valley and to visitors who eat that way.
A note on how this page is made. The four cafés below run their menus and websites on HimLocal, so we have their full menus, prices and hours. Other places come from OpenStreetMap, the open map. Being listed on HimLocal says nothing about the cooking, and a café we do not describe is not a worse one.
Valentino's Cooking With Herbs — Italian and Mexican, Bhuntar–Kullu road
Valentino's is on the Bhuntar–Kullu road at Shastri Nagar, at the southern edge of the town. It cooks only vegetarian Italian and Mexican food with home-sourced herbs: pizzas, pasta, lasagne, risotto and Mexican plates. You can sit indoors, outside, in its cabins or under the canopies, and there is a coffee bar. It is open every day and has free Wi-Fi, and a meal for two costs about ₹600–1,000. A second Valentino's kitchen runs at Jagatsukh, on the Naggar road out of Manali. Menu and prices.
Sapna Bakers — the eggless bakery in Akhara Bazaar
Sapna Bakers is a bakery and mithai shop in Akhara Bazaar, near the Bhagwati Durga Mandir. Every cake and pastry is baked in-house, and all of it is eggless: celebration cakes, cheesecakes, pastries, cookies and rusks, beside a counter of mithai sold by the kilo. It also takes custom cake orders. Open every day, 10 in the morning to 8 at night, with free Wi-Fi. An eggless pastry starts at ₹50, and a whole celebration cake can run to ₹1,900. Menu and prices.
Belle Vie — pure-veg and eggless at Shamshi, near Bhuntar
Belle Vie, French for "beautiful life", is a pure-vegetarian, eggless bakery and restaurant on Tegubehar Road at Shamshi, near the government school. It sits between Bhuntar and Kullu, close to the airport. The kitchen does the hills' plate and the café's: dal, paneer and a full veg thali, momos and chowmein, pasta, burgers on its own buns, crepes and waffles. To drink there is freshly ground coffee, matcha, shakes and smoothies. All the seating is indoors. Open 8:30 in the morning to 8 at night, and closed on Tuesdays. It has free Wi-Fi, and a meal for two costs about ₹500–800. Menu and prices.
Valley Brew Cafe & Kitchen — coffee with a view, Talogi
Valley Brew is a café and kitchen on the Kullu–Manali bypass road at Talogi, with a view up the valley. It is all vegetarian: coffee and shakes, pizza, burgers, pasta and desserts. Open every day, 8 in the morning to 10 at night, with free Wi-Fi. A meal for two costs about ₹650–1,000. Menu and prices.
Also on the map
OpenStreetMap lists a few more places in the town and at Bhuntar, among them Rustic Wood, a bar and grill, Tasty Bite, and Mamu's Dhaba near Bhuntar. The highway dhabas between Bhuntar and Kullu serve everyday food: dal, rajma and rice.
What it costs
From the menus of the cafés listed on HimLocal, as of October 2026, a cappuccino or latte costs ₹120–210 and masala chai ₹40–60. A pizza is ₹250–520 and a plate of momos ₹70–250. Belle Vie's veg thali is ₹200. Kullu is a little cheaper than Manali's café streets; our Manali cafés guide has the comparison.
Small things
Most cafés take UPI; keep some cash for the bazaar and the dhabas. In the Dussehra week the town is full and parking is hard. Ask any café about closing days in the winter months. For the town itself, read the Kullu town page; for where to stay, Kullu or Manali.
