Our Story
HimLocal was born from a simple observation: the Himalayan region is home to some of India's most talented artisans, warmest hotel owners, and finest natural products — yet most of them have zero digital presence. They rely on middlemen who take the majority of profits, seasonal tourists who may never return, and word-of-mouth that doesn't scale.
We set out to change that. Currently based in the Kullu Valley of Himachal Pradesh, HimLocal is building the digital infrastructure that Himalayan businesses need to thrive in the modern economy — without losing their authenticity, identity, or control over their business.
Today, HimLocal serves as both a marketplace (where customers discover and buy from multiple Himalayan businesses in one place) and a SaaS platform (where each business gets its own branded online store with everything it needs to operate independently).
