1. Gurdwara Paonta Sahib
About 2 minutes from the town centre: the central gurdwara, on the riverbank, holding a golden palanquin and a museum of Guru Gobind Singh's own weapons and pens. Free to visit, langar typically available. Gurdwara Paonta Sahib.
2. Gurdwara Kavi Darbar
About 2 minutes out, close by: the site of the Guru's own poetry court, still a venue for poetry competitions today. Free to visit.
3. Gurdwara Tirgarhi Sahib
About 22 minutes out, near Bhangani Sahib: the site linked to the 1688 Battle of Bhangani, along a genuinely scenic stretch of the Yamuna. Free to visit.

4. Simbalbara National Park
About 16 minutes from Paonta Sahib: a national park with a forest of Sal trees, also called Col. Sher Jung National Park, established in 1958 and expanded in 2010. Free to visit.
5. Renuka Lake
About 75 minutes out: the largest lake in Himachal Pradesh, a Ramsar site since 2005, tied to the Parashurama-Renuka legend. Boating typically available. Renuka Lake.
