What it is

A narrow gorge on the stream below Jibhi where the water runs between two walls of rock and a wooden footbridge crosses above it. The name is a joke that stuck; the place is a ten-minute walk from the road and worth it.

Getting there

From the road below the village, on foot: down to the stream and along it to the footbridge, about ten minutes. Ask at any café for the path. By road the point is 17 minutes from Banjar.

The visit

Ten minutes on the bridge, ten on the rock above it. The waterfall is the same stream a little higher, through the gate by the village bridge; together they are Jibhi's afternoon.

When to go

Any month the path is dry. In the monsoon the gorge is a roar seen from the footbridge, not the rock.

Why is it called Mini Thailand?

Because someone thought the rock walls and the green water looked like a beach postcard, and the name stuck the way jokes do in a village. It is a gorge on the Jibhi stream where the water runs between two walls of rock under a footbridge — nothing to do with Thailand and better than the name.

How do I get to Mini Thailand from Jibhi?

Ten minutes on foot from the road below the village, down to the stream and along it to the footbridge over the gorge; by road the point is 17 minutes from Banjar as of September 2026, a little below Jibhi. Ask at any café for the path. No ticket, no guide, and shoes rather than sandals for the rock.

Can you swim at Mini Thailand?

No — the gorge is narrow, the rock is slick, and the stream is cold and fast in every month, a roar in the monsoon that should be watched from the bridge and nowhere else. It is a place to look at from the footbridge and to sit beside on the rock above, and ten minutes of either is the visit.
