Himachal's five Shakti Peeths in three days — Naina Devi, Chintpurni, Jwalamukhi, Kangra and Chamunda
The five Devi temples that Himachal counts as its Shakti Peeths, in three days by car: Shri Naina Devi Ji above Gobind Sagar, Mata Chintpurni in Una district, Jwala Ji at Jwalamukhi, the Vajreshwari temple at Kangra and Chamunda Devi. It starts from Chandigarh and ends near Dharamshala.
The order follows the road. Naina Devi is the nearest to the plains and the farthest from the rest, so it comes first, with the long drive of the trip after it. The other four sit within about an hour of each other. How the five fit together is in the Shakti Peeth circuit; for four of them in two days from Jwalamukhi, see the two-day plan.

Can you visit all five Shakti Peeths of Himachal in three days?
Yes, by car. Day one is Naina Devi, about 107 min from Chandigarh, then 143 min on to Chintpurni. Day two is Chintpurni at dawn and Jwalamukhi, 64 min away. Day three is Vajreshwari at Kangra, 50 min from Jwalamukhi, and Chamunda, 30 min beyond it.
Which order is best for the Himachal Shakti Peeth yatra?
Naina Devi first if you start from Chandigarh, because it is the nearest to the plains and the farthest from the other four. Then Chintpurni, Jwalamukhi, Kangra and Chamunda, which run north along one road. Coming from Pathankot or Dharamshala, do the same route in reverse.
Is this yatra good at Navratri?
It is the time most pilgrims choose, at the Chaitra Navratri in March or April and the Sharada Navratri in Ashvin, September or October. Expect long queues at every temple. Start each day at first light, keep to the order of the road, and allow an extra hour at each darshan.
