Questions people ask
What are the best things to do in Bharmour?
Walk the Chaurasi temple complex, with its 84 shrines, then look at the carved facade of the Lakshana Devi Temple and the stone tower of the Narasimha Temple. If you have time, drive to Hadsar, 30 minutes away, where the road ends for the Manimahesh pilgrimage.
What can you do in Bharmour for free?
Walk the town and its temples, which have no fixed entry fee that we know of. Ask before photographing inside any shrine. The only real cost is the road to Bharmour and the taxi to Hadsar, and rooms get expensive during the Manimahesh pilgrimage.
How many days do you need in Bharmour?
One day covers the temples on foot. A second day adds Hadsar. The Manimahesh Lake pilgrimage is a separate multi-day effort in August or September, and we do not plan it here, so ask locally and allow far more time than a visit to the town.
