Getting there
By road it is about 7 km and 17 minutes from Kalpa, and about 3 km from Reckong Peo, so it falls on the way down. Park at the village and walk up to the complex.
The visit
The complex has an old wooden temple and newer buildings around it, all roofed in slate, with the snow peaks of the range behind on a clear day. Dress modestly and ask before photographing the sanctum. Little is published about the temple's age, so this guide gives no date.
When to go
Summer, June to September, is the easy season; winter brings snow to the village. See when to visit Kalpa.

How far is Kothi from Kalpa and Reckong Peo?
Kothi is about 7 km and 17 minutes by road from Kalpa, and about 3 km from Reckong Peo. That puts it between the two, so it fits naturally on the way down from Kalpa to the market town in the same morning.
Is Chandika Devi Temple the same as the Chandi Mata temple at Reckong Peo?
Reckong Peo's own article names the Chandi Mata Temple among its main attractions, and Kothi's temple is dedicated to the same goddess under the name Chandika Devi. We treat it as the one temple visitors mean, and use its name as it is mapped, Chandika Devi Temple at Kothi.
