One day from Ramnagar — Corbett Falls and Kaladhungi
A day on the road towards Nainital: Corbett Falls first, then Kaladhungi, where Jim Corbett lived. Both are outside the park's safari zones, and the road is slow, so leave time for the drive back.

How far are Corbett Falls from Ramnagar?
Wikipedia says about 25 km; our routing measures about 34 km and 49 minutes by road. They disagree, so plan on the longer, measured figure. The falls are in dense forest beside the Kaladhungi–Ramnagar highway, about 4 km from Kaladhungi by Wikipedia's account, and about 20 m high.
What is there to see at Kaladhungi?
Jim Corbett lived at nearby Choti Haldwani, and Wikipedia says his house is now a museum in his memory, and two of his dogs are buried in the grounds. The town's name means black stone, for the iron-rich rock found here. We have no verified museum hours, so ask locally.
Does this day need a park permit?
No safari permit is part of this plan, since the falls and the town are on the highway. We do not know whether the falls have an entry rule, so ask at the reception office in Ramnagar, which issues the park permits, and carry an identity card.
