Namchi in two days — the two great statues, then the Temi Tea Garden and Ravangla's Buddha
Two slow days in South Sikkim. The first is Namchi's two hills, Siddhesvara Dham and Samdruptse; the second goes out to the Temi Tea Garden, the only one in Sikkim, and on to the Buddha Park of Ravangla. End in Ravangla and you are on the road to Pelling.

How far is Temi Tea Garden from Namchi?
About 21.7 km and 41 minutes by road on our routing. It lies on the way towards Ravangla, whose Buddha Park is about 49 minutes from Namchi, so the two make a natural second day. Wikipedia says Temi is the only tea garden in Sikkim, set up in 1969.
Should I stay in Namchi or Ravangla?
Either works for this plan. Namchi is the bigger town and the district headquarters, at about 1,314 m; Ravangla is higher and smaller, and closer to Pelling. Ending the second day in Ravangla saves the drive back and puts you on the road west.
What is the best season for Namchi?
Spring and autumn are the pleasant seasons in these hills, with flowers in spring and clearer views after the monsoon. Wikipedia gives no weather table for Namchi itself, so we give no monthly figures. In the monsoon, landslides can slow the mountain roads.
