Two days in Chail — the palace and the stream at Sadhupul
Two days in Chail: the Chail Palace and the forest on the first, then a drive down to Sadhupul on the second. The one-day plan takes the cricket ground instead.
Timing is in when to visit Chail, and the stops are in things to do in Chail.

All Chail itineraries →Questions people ask
Is two days too long for Chail?
Not if you like quiet. The palace and the forest fill a day, and Sadhupul is a half-day trip that adds a river to the hills. For a shorter visit, the one-day plan covers the palace and the cricket ground, and Chail also works as a night away from Shimla.
How far is Sadhupul?
About 16 km and 37 minutes from Chail by road, down the valley. It lies on the route from Kandaghat, so some visitors see it on the way in. Allow half an hour at the water, and keep away from the stream bed after rain when it can rise quickly.
Where should you stay?
In Chail for both nights. Day one starts and ends on the hill, and day two is a drive down the valley and back, so there is no need to move bags. Rooms range from simple lodges to the palace hotel, whose rates we do not quote.
