Sadhupul, on the road to Chail
What it is
Sadhupul, also written Sadhu Pul, is a village in the valley of the Ashwani Khad, the stream that runs below Chail. The road crosses the water here, and visitors stop for the river and the green slopes. Little is published about the village's history, so this guide gives none.

Getting there
By road it is about 16 km and 37 minutes from Chail, down the valley towards Kandaghat. Many visitors pass it on the way up.
The visit
Walk to the water and along the bank. Riverside places set out tables on the gravel, and what they offer changes by season, so we list none. Take care near the water after rain, since the stream rises quickly.
When to go
March to October is the best window named for the area. See when to visit Chail.
Around it
The Chail Palace and the forest are up the hill, and things to do in Chail lists them all. The two-day plan puts Sadhupul on the second day, and the one-day plan skips it.

Questions people ask
What is Sadhupul?
A village on the Ashwani Khad, a stream below Chail, where the road crosses the water in a green valley. Visitors stop for the river and for riverside seating. Little is published about the village itself, so this guide gives no history, only the setting and the drive.
How far is Sadhupul from Chail?
About 16 km by road, roughly 37 minutes by car. It lies in the valley below the hill station, on the route up from Kandaghat, so some visitors pass through on the way in and others make a short detour from Chail, so budget half an hour for a stop.
Is it worth a stop?
If you like water and a cooler, greener valley after the drive. It is a stop, not a destination, so combine it with Chail Palace and the forest above. We give no opening times or prices for the riverside places, which change by season, so ask on the day.
