Where do the Zanskar and Indus meet?
Near Nimmu, west of Leh, beside the Leh–Srinagar highway. Our routing measures about 35 km and 38 minutes by road from Leh. Wikivoyage says the confluence is easy to find, since the Zanskar's water is brown while the Indus's is a little pink, so the join shows as a line.
Is there anything to do there?
Wikivoyage names white-water rafting on the Indus from Nimmu towards the border, with rapids of grades four to five, and rafting on the Zanskar. We have no verified operators, safety rules or fees, so ask a registered operator in Leh and do not go on the river without guides.
Can you combine it with other stops?
Yes. It lies on the road to Alchi, past Magnetic Hill, so it fits the western day from Leh. Allow about 25 minutes at the viewpoint. We have no verified viewpoint facilities, so bring water and a layer, and stop only where the road allows.
