The upper is handwoven in gold and silver metallic thread on fabric, worked into an ivory and gold geometric pattern, with black velvet piping tracing the edges and a rhinestone stud set at the front. The toe is pointed in the Maharaja style, and the sole is hand-stitched leather with a flat 0.5 inch heel. Inside, the sole is genuine tan leather.

This is mojari, or jutti, work from Jodhpur in Rajasthan, made by master artisans there. A pair weighs about 340 grams and comes in UK sizes 6 to 11, covering foot lengths of 24.5 cm to 29.5 cm.

Grooms wear these on the wedding day, and they suit receptions and sangeet ceremonies, alongside a sherwani, bandhgala or Indo-western outfit.
